“Drifters” are a series of painted, stuffed multi-panel constructions I’ve been making since 2014. They are soft and flexible, so the painted surface wrinkles and shows signs of wear and movement. This large diptych “Drifter” includes marabou feathers on the inner “connecting” edges, sewn between thin panels of brown taffeta.
